TGIF.

Something tells us that it’s going to be a pretty epic weekend. We were feeling a little dispirited after missing Stockholm Street Style‘s Caroline Blomst when she was in town, so it’s time to make amends. Our Delta Maxi Dress’s dazzling debut at the premiere of The Hunger Games has whet our appetite – could it be time for another red carpet roll out? Mark our words; big things are coming for Saveus.

Feeling like you could use a little of our pep? Try giving this track a couple of run throughs.

You’re invited.

In conjunction with Westfield Sydney, Saveus invites you to join us for an exclusive shopping event – starting today! Pay us a visit at the Saveus Prism over the next four days to receive 20% off all full-priced items from our debut collection. If the idea of snapping up a bargain weren’t enough to pique your interest, we’ve got some added incentive. It all kicks off at 5pm this evening, March 29th.

Saveus Loves Hand Knits.

As the chilly hand of winter approaches, we’re rifling through our hangers and reaching straight for our favourite woolly knits. At Saveus HQ, we think Grandma was onto something when she gifted you that lovingly purled jumper every Christmas. We’d go so far as to say she was a fashion-forward style icon. Put otherwise; we’re nuts about knits.

There’s nothing quite like the textural tease of a chunky cable knit, or the layering power of a killer cardi. Whether you’re working or playing, a sumptuous, handmade knit ensures you’ll be rugged up in style. Knitwear burst back onto the scene in Prada’s Fall 2010 RTW collection, and a bevy of fashion houses were soon to follow. This season, Saveus has taken the lead from Alexander Wang in presenting an assortment of staple, wool blend, hand knits.

With quality pieces like the Tri Braided Knit, Grandpa Chainweave Jumper and Basic Light Knit, we’ve got you covered (literally!) this winter. Let’s not forget the ultimate Organic Grandpa Cardi, which is engineered to carry you through the cooler months – and beyond – in cosy comfort.

We guarantee there’ll be no dropped stitches when you step out in a Saveus hand knit. You know the drill – shop our favourite winter look today via The Grand Social or THE ICONIC. Better still, visit us at the Saveus Prism, and feel the woolly warmth for yourself!

Just keeps on comin’

There’s been so much love of late, that we’re having trouble keeping up! The talented Nusardel Oshana of Mint Maison fame dropped by the Saveus Prism over the weekend, with his camera in tow. Here‘s what he had to say about his (long overdue) visit.

With the continued support of bloggers like you, Nusardel, who knows – the dream of ‘Saveus Man’ may just transpire.

Friday afternoon at Saveus HQ was rounded off on a high note, when this post by the preeminent Frockwriter appeared in our inboxes.

Familiarise yourself with that (stunning) face; Katerina Chang is set to take the fashion world by storm. Saveus spotted this beauty from a mile off, so we’re glad to see that everyone else is finally catching on! After featuring in our AW12 “Everything, nothing.” campaign, we can confirm that she’s as down to earth as she is gorgeous. It’s hard not to agree with Frockwriter; there are big things in store for Katerina. Keep an eye out for this stunner on regular rotation at MBFWA.

In other news, Shine By Three has done it again with this adorable feature on the Saveus Solar Drop Pant (Mustard). With statement colour-blocking, soft fabric and exceptional tailoring, these pants have got it all. Make them yours via The Grand Social or THE ICONIC, or in-store at The Saveus Prism.

TGIF

Another Friday rolls around to mark the end of The Saveus Prism’s first week of residency at Westfield Sydney. We’ve celebrated with a housewarming, gossiped with our new neighbours, and the steady flow of visitors shows no sign of abating. We think we might just stick around…

After providing a killer soundscape for our launch night, Acid Stag has been on non-stop replay at Saveus HQ. The talented duo has a knack for mixing some pretty addictive beats – and hey, they’re not such bad guys, either! What’s more, their regular ‘Friday MixTape’ mashups make it perfectly clear that they share our deep-seeded appreciation for Fridays. Get an earful of office fave, mixtape #68, here.

The Saveus Games.

The stars were out in force at Tuesday evening’s premiere of The Hunger Games, but few shone as brightly as Holly Kagis and Home & Away‘s David Jones Roberts. The couple took to the red carpet in style, with Holly donning none other than the Saveus Delta Maxi Dress. Doesn’t she look divine!

You need not let your newfound hunger for that dress go unsated. Snap up your very own from our favourite online retailers: The Grand Social and THE ICONIC. Can’t bear the agonising thought of waiting for shipping? Simple. Visit us at The Saveus Prism today.

Following a successful launch into the online market, new Australian label Saveus’s highly anticipated A/W 2012 ‘Everything, nothing.’ collection was officially debuted in Sydney on Thursday 15th March, 2012.

Westfield Sydney was illuminated when label co-owners and designers Karima Hazim and Jarred Baker flicked the switch on the ‘Saveus Prism’ a temporary pop-up store made of aluminum and dressed in tubes of light, used to house the brand’s designs in Westfield’s flagship shopping centre.

A standalone art installation custom designed for the space in the 100 Squared emerging designers market by Hazim and Baker, it provided the perfect backdrop for the successful launch event, attended by over 300 guests.

“We’re amazed with the amount of people that have come to support us here tonight, and very proud,” Saveus Art Director, Jarred Baker said.

“Both Karima and I have worked so hard for this night, to see people admiring our designs and being able to explain exactly why they’re so special is something I’ve been dreaming about for such a long time,” he added.

Asked to look out for the wash of light, fashion editors, influential bloggers, designers and stylists stepped out to see and touch the luxurious pieces that have created hype about the brand before it was available to the general public.

Called “the ideal winter wardrobe” in a post by the popular Street Scholar blog, other fashion commentators have also complemented the collection. The critics have high hopes for the brand- “it’s not hard to tell they’re going to be the next big thing,” Street Scholar said.

With thousands of followers locally and around the world, respected Sydney based blogger Margaret Zhang from Shine By Three was particularly impressed by the debut range.

“The prism is such a striking addition to the 100 Squared space, and is definitely an experience in itself. It’s refreshing to see Saveus’ more tailored aesthetic reaching such a wide range of women,” Zhang said.

The prism will remain on Level 1 of Westfield Sydney for the coming weeks, before moving on to its next destination.
