Saveus at LMFF: Recap

After a successful week at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, we were so excited to see some of our favourite bloggers give a shout out to the Saveus AW13 ‘Carnaby Street’ collection.

The Official LMFF site notes the ‘winter pastels’ and ‘sophisticated patterns’ dominating the runway this season, highlighting the feminine edge of the ‘baby doll dresses and pastel shades for the modern woman’.

Doone from shespokestyle.com hung out with co-owners Jarred Baker and Karima Chloe Hazim while at LMFF and shared some of her awesome experiences for the week on her blog…

Some other bloggers that gave a shout-out to Saveus’ AW13 ‘Carnaby Street’ collection include StyleHunter,  StyleMelbourne, Fashion Journal, Melbourne Girl and Couture Caddy.

Check out some behind the scenes snaps of the L’Oreal Paris Runway 06 presented by Cosmopolitan Australia Magazine, where the Saveus collection was showcased…

SAVEUS PARTNERS WITH L’OREAL MELBOURNE FASHION FESTIVAL

Saveus is proud to announce its debut showcase at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) 2013, signaling the official launch of their upcoming Autumn/Winter 2013 collection ‘Carnaby Street’.

Invited to attend for the first time by festival directors, Saveus is one of the few hand picked designers chosen to be a part of the Cosmopolitan Magazine Show on March 22, 2013.

Following the success of the labels first two collections and opening a standalone store in Sydney, Saveus’ directors are extremely proud to be able to start the season at LMFF.

“L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival is the perfect platform to launch Saveus to Australia and beyond. We have had such an incredible 12 months, and we can’t wait for what’s to come. LMFF will well and truly launch us into our biggest season yet,” Saveus Co-Owner and Art Director Jarred Baker said.

“L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival showcases some of Australia’s finest talent, and to be included amongst such esteemed creatives is something we’re very proud of, and we feel we’re ready to show just how great Saveus has become in such a short time,” Saveus Co-Owner and Creative Director Karima Hazim added.

The AW13 ‘Carnaby Street’ collection is inspired by both the sticky sweet and splendidly sexy sides of London in the swinging 1960’s.

Providing exciting options for women to create their own sartorial adventure, the ‘Carnaby Street’ collection mixes girly grace with powerful precision for a winter wardrobe that is both a nod to mod and an ode to all things beautiful.

The ‘Carnaby Street’ collection will be available in all stores February 2013.

We’ve said it once, we’ll say it again: Saveus loves bloggers.

This week, we were fortunate enough to have some of the gorgeous faces behind online retailer superstar, THE ICONIC, join us for the unveiling of our SS13 range. As the delightful Doone summarised: “It’s bold, it’s bright, it’s me all over. I need it all in my life immediately, if not sooner.” We can’t wait to let you take a piece (or 10) home either, Doone! Take a look at what else THE ICONIC girls had to say about the collection in their event wrap up on THE ICONIC blog.

It was only a matter of time before the Melburnites caught wind of Saveus, and the lovely Sophia of Everyday Like This is spreading the fever. It was a pleasure meeting you when you were in town for MBFWA, Sophia. Until such time as Saveus infiltrates stores down south, we nominate you as our Melbourne fashion correspondent! Visit the Everyday Like This blog for a look at what Sophia had to say about Sydney’s biggest style secret, Saveus. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as Saveus hits Melbourne. Stay tuned!

A month with Saveus

Following the Saveus Prism’s extended residency and resounding success at the 100 Squared emerging designers pop-up space, Saveus is proud to announce it will be continuing its partnership with Westfield City, by opening a pop up store in the flagship centre.

“A month with Saveus: The Autumn/Winter Showcase” will provide Saveus with a fantastic platform to present it’s stunning A/W collection, and the team is extremely excited to have a continued retail presence in Sydney’s fashion hub.

“We’re absolutely thrilled that Westfield has acknowledged our product and hard work for the months we’ve been here already. To be placed among such esteemed company, is such a privilege,” Saveus Art Director Jarred Baker said.

Officially opening on Wednesday, May 16, the store is situated on Level 4 of the complex and also home to high profile Australian labels including Sass & Bide, Zimmermann, Ginger & Smart and Ksubi.

“They say you need to surround yourself with those you aspire to be like, and we hope being here helps to further cement our place and presence in the Australian fashion industry,” Saveus Creative Director, Karima Hazim said.

T is for Tuesday.

But K is for Kani. No number of superlatives can quite seem to capture the picture-perfect sweetness that is Connie Cao – better known as Kani. The Melbourne fashion blogger stole our hearts at the recent FELLT popup party, and has continued to woo team Saveus with her impeccable blend of vintage and modern styling.

Amidst the fast-paced frenzy of MBFWA, US Harper’s BAZAAR spotted this beauty sporting none other than the Saveus Dalliance Puff Skirt. Connie incorporates her signature vintage edge by offsetting the skirt’s vampy red with a floral print blouse and classic gold accessories.

As far as we’re concerned, if the winner of the ASOS Future Stylist 2012 competition (glad to see our relentless voting paid off!) is rockin’ it, then you know it’s hot! Make the standout Dalliance Puff Skirt yours today at The Grand Social, THE ICONIC, or in store at the Saveus Prism.

EDIT: Just in! For the full photo set from K is for Kani’s Dalliance Puff Skirt shoot, take a look at her brand new post; Incomplete Lullaby. Simply adorable!
