Saveus partners with L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival

For immediate release

8th January 2012

Saveus is proud to announce its debut showcase at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) 2013, signaling the official launch of their upcoming Autumn/Winter 2013 collection ‘Carnaby Street’.

Invited to attend for the first time by festival directors, Saveus is one of the few hand picked designers chosen to be a part of the Cosmopolitan Magazine Show on March 22, 2013.

Following the success of the labels first two collections and opening a standalone store in Sydney, Saveus’ directors are extremely proud to be able to start the season at LMFF.

“L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival is the perfect platform to launch Saveus to Australia and beyond. We have had such an incredible 12 months, and we can’t wait for what’s to come. LMFF will well and truly launch us into our biggest season yet,” Saveus Co-Owner and Art Director Jarred Baker said.

“L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival showcases some of Australia’s finest talent, and to be included amongst such esteemed creatives is something we’re very proud of, and we feel we’re ready to show just how great Saveus has become in such a short time,” Saveus Co-Owner and Creative Director Karima Hazim added.

The AW13 ‘Carnaby Street’ collection is inspired by both the sticky sweet and splendidly sexy sides of London in the swinging 1960’s.

Providing exciting options for women to create their own sartorial adventure, the ‘Carnaby Street’ collection mixes girly grace with powerful precision for a winter wardrobe that is both a nod to mod and an ode to all things beautiful.

The ‘Carnaby Street’ collection will be available in all stores February 2013.

SS13 unveiled.

You’ll have to excuse our brief blogging hiatus; we’ve had some major things cooking!

This morning dawned dark and gloomy, but team Saveus couldn’t help feeling upbeat after the success of last night’s media preview of the SS13 collection, “On Hiatus.” The mouth-wateringly exotic aroma of falafels permeated the Showcase space, as designers, stylists and fashionistas gathered for the unveiling of Saveus’s next hyper-coloured instalment. As guests rifled lustily through the racks, the celebratory “chink” of champagne glasses reminded us just how far we’ve come. Drawing on the vibrancy of the bustling souqs and balmy nightlife of Marrakesh, the fast approaching SS collection looks set to be yet another resounding success. Any excuse to continue wrapping up our evenings with piping hot coffee and walnut-stuffed Medjool dates!

For those who couldn’t make it, here’s a taste of what’s on the horizon for Saveus:

A month with Saveus

Following the Saveus Prism’s extended residency and resounding success at the 100 Squared emerging designers pop-up space, Saveus is proud to announce it will be continuing its partnership with Westfield City, by opening a pop up store in the flagship centre.

“A month with Saveus: The Autumn/Winter Showcase” will provide Saveus with a fantastic platform to present it’s stunning A/W collection, and the team is extremely excited to have a continued retail presence in Sydney’s fashion hub.

“We’re absolutely thrilled that Westfield has acknowledged our product and hard work for the months we’ve been here already. To be placed among such esteemed company, is such a privilege,” Saveus Art Director Jarred Baker said.

Officially opening on Wednesday, May 16, the store is situated on Level 4 of the complex and also home to high profile Australian labels including Sass & Bide, Zimmermann, Ginger & Smart and Ksubi.

“They say you need to surround yourself with those you aspire to be like, and we hope being here helps to further cement our place and presence in the Australian fashion industry,” Saveus Creative Director, Karima Hazim said.

We’re just a little bit chuffed to be ringing in the new week on such a high note. After months of anticipation, Fashion.Music.Culture. has landed. Not only does this impressive new publication feature the holy trinity – fashion, music and culture (duh!) – but its debut issue shines a spotlight on our very own Saveus duo, Jarred Baker and Karima Hazim.

Packed with in-depth interviews, fashion, and even a definitive list of what’s on in the world of art, FMC is already making ripples. With their first issue focusing on “The Minimalist,” it’s no surprise that Saveus shines in an urban-feel editorial spread. Read on, and you’ll be given an insight into the evolution and forward momentum of Saveus in a candid interview with our designers. If you’ve been pondering what’s next, or how that name originated, then here‘s your chance to find out!

We urge you to keep an eye on this mag – we’re already hanging out for the next issue. Keep up to date by “liking” them on Facebook…after you’ve “liked” Saveus, of course.

A rousing response.

Saveus shines in yet another press piece, this time from the Rouse Hill Times. As always, we commend the astute editorial team for recognising – and backing – their local talent. They may draw inspiration from the boundless sights and sounds of global culture, but our creative duo are forever Sydneysiders at heart. Make no mistake, this won’t be the last time you spot a glowing write-up on the brains behind Saveus, Jarred Baker and Karima Hazim.

Let’s not forget the Easter long weekend’s biggest news – our generous gifting of that cape. A huge congratulations to Maya Ivanovic, the proud new owner of the incomparable two-tone Empire Cape. Your winter promises to be steeped in style now that you can step out with this beauty resting comfortably on your shoulders.

Don’t be too downhearted if you missed out this time. Simply ‘like’ and share Saveus on Facebook to keep our family growing. Love Saveus, and we’ll love you right back.
